We are delighted to announce the appointment of David Crosby to the role of Director at Omega. David has extensive experience of senior leadership in several national charities, including Teenage Cancer Trust and Breast Cancer Now. More recently David was Chief Officer for Shropshire-based Partners in Care, a not-for-profit member organisation for adult social care providers.
David has an MA in Public Service Partnerships and Management and is a Trustee of Lingen Davies Cancer Support. Outside work, David is a qualified England Athletics running coach and runs Pontesbury Runners where he lives with his wife. He has two grown up sons and two grandchildren.
Linton Waters, Chair of Trustees, welcomed David’s appointment saying “We are delighted to have David joining the Omega team at this time. His experience across a range of third sector organisations and personal commitment to supporting disadvantaged citizens promises to inspire and invigorate our work. We look forward to working together to address the growing scourge of social isolation across our communities. We would like to thank our previous CEO Lucy Scott for her contribution, and wish her all the best for the future.”
David said: “I am excited by the opportunity to join Omega as Director, providing strategic leadership of the organisation. I am looking forward to working with the staff team, our volunteers, the Board of Trustees and the people we support to take Omega on the next phase of its growth to reduce the impact of loneliness across the UK. This will involve building alliances with other charities, community groups and policymakers, and identifying and pursuing new funding and partnership opportunities aligned with Omega’s mission.”
