Dear friends of Omega,
I am honoured and deeply humbled to introduce myself as the new Chief Executive Officer of Omega. Having previously been a Chief Executive Officer and holding senior leadership and Trustee positions in the charity and sport sectors, stepping into this role is both a privilege and a responsibility I carry with great care.
Omega has long been a beacon of hope, compassion, and real impact in the lives of those we serve. At the heart of our mission is a powerful and timely goal: to end social isolation and loneliness in adults. This challenge affects millions – often silently – and I am proud to join an organisation so committed to fostering connection, dignity, and community for those who need it most. I’d like to thank my predecessor Pete Brophy for the impact he made here at Omega. He moves to his new role with all our best wishes.
My journey in the non-profit sector has taught me the power of collaboration, empathy, and innovation. As we look ahead, my vision is to build on Omega’s strong foundation and explore new ways to expand our reach and deepen our impact – always ensuring that the lived experiences and voices of the people we serve are heard. As with most charities in the current landscape, we need to grow our income base and increase the number of volunteers so we can meet demand for our support, which has grown exponentially in recent times.
Over the coming months, I look forward to having contact with many of you – whether that’s meeting in person, via phone or email. I’m keen to listen and learn from all of Omega’s stakeholders, so please feel free to get in touch. Your insights and experiences are invaluable as we shape the future together. Thank you for your continued support and belief in what we can achieve together.
Here’s to the next chapter for Omega – with shared purpose, and unwavering hope.
