Last week we were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Shrewsbury to London House, Omega’s office in Shrewsbury. Cllr Alex Wagner met the Omega team and Trustees, to discuss loneliness and social isolation in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and further afield across the UK.
We talked about loneliness and how it can negatively impact health, confidence and resilience. We discussed how we can further raise awareness of Omega’s important work to combat loneliness. And we also discussed the challenges and opportunities of securing funding to run our services, and ways we can work more closely with other local organisations.
