David Crosby

Director

David joined Omega as Director in May 2026 and is responsible for the strategic leadership of the organisation, providing leadership for our staff team and volunteers, whilst working with the Board of Trustees to ensure compliance with the charity’s legal, financial, and safeguarding responsibilities.

A key part of David’s role is building on a shared vision which will take Omega on the next phase of its growth to reduce the impact of loneliness across the UK. This will involve building alliances with other charities, community groups and policymakers, and identifying and pursuing new funding and partnership opportunities aligned with Omega’s mission.

Prior to joining Omega David was Chief Officer for Partners in Care, a not-for-profit membership organisation representing approximately 290 independent adult social care providers across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Cheshire.

David has previously worked for national cancer charities for 11 years, initially Macmillan Cancer Support, then Breast Cancer Care for whom he was Director of Services and Engagement prior to the charity’s merger with Breast Cancer Now in April 2019 when he became the merged charity’s Director of Services. Most recently David was Interim Director of Services and Impact for Teenage Cancer Trust. Before moving to the charity sector, David worked in social housing for 22 years with three local authorities – for two of which he was Head of Housing – and a housing association.

David has an MA in Public Service Partnerships and Management and is a Trustee of Lingen Davies Cancer Support.
