We were very pleased to welcome Julia Buckley MP to the Omega office in Shrewsbury last week. Julia met the Omega team including Trustees Linton and Sue, to learn more about Omega’s work to combat loneliness and social isolation, both in the local area and across the UK.
We talked about the serious impact loneliness can have on physical and mental health, as well as our main client programmes which support those experiencing loneliness: Chatterbox telephone befriending, Letterbox pen pal befriending and our intergenerational programme Pupil Pals.
