Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Omega. If your application is successful, you will be asked to undertake training specific to the role for which you are applying before you can start volunteering; this could include an induction and an adult safeguarding course. If you are expected to work with vulnerable clients, you will be asked to obtain a DBS Certificate.

We will carefully consider the information you provide and make contact with your referees. To process your application, we will need photo ID (a valid passport or driving licence) and a separate document to show proof of your address (a utility bill or bank statement).

The information you supply on this form will be stored securely in accordance with data protection legislation and treated as strictly confidential. By signing and returning the form, you agree to the processing of the data contained or referred to in it, including information that may be considered to be sensitive personal data.

Please note: Chatterbox befrienders must be prepared to commit to a minimum of 1 telephone call a week for 26 weeks.

June 2025 update: We do not currently require additional Letterbox volunteers but we are in great need of additional Chatterbox volunteers. Therefore, for the time being, we are only accepting applications for Chatterbox telephone befrienders.
