Upcoming Sessions

Following a Government decision to cut funding to the Caring with Confidence programme, time is running out for those still wishing to attend free support sessions for carers.

Listed below are the upcoming sessions by area. We want to help as many carers as we can before the project comes to an end. To book your place on a session, call 0845 259 3163 (local rate) or email carers@omega.uk.net.

"For me it is about facilitating the building of self-knowledge, personal empowerment and independence - by sharing and learning within the group – so that people ‘own’ what they are gaining, in skills and knowledge, and it becomes part of who they are and how they deal with their lives - and their emotional health as well.

The best learning is that which, when we try to remember not having the knowledge and skills, we cannot – because it has become a part of who we are. That sort of knowledge gets handed down through families and across communities. And that is what we are aiming for."
